Is Givtu a registered charity?
Yes, Givtu is a registered charity with The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), the national charity regulator in Australia. You can view our registration details on the ACNC Charity Register.
What is Givtu doing?
Givtu’s mission is to set up a legacy fund in every community in Australia. To do this we have created a game like no other on earth, offering amazing odds and a part in directing the funds collected.
What is a community legacy?
A community legacy is a super fund named after the winner and placed in a community (postcode) of choice. Once established it is run and administered by Givtu in perpetuity with committee direction from the chosen community.
How can Givtu do this?
Givtu operates under the rules set by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and complies with local laws for community gaming. Our NSW Charitable Fundraising Authority number is 26226.
What is BETA testing?
BETA testing is the trial phase of a new product where users can test the platform and provide feedback. For Givtu, this means testing our game systems to ensure they are fair, fun, and easy to use before our full public launch.
Can you explain the whole game?
By purchasing an entry you participate in our draws. These are drawn on Wednesday and Friday evenings at 6pm. From these you can win more entries, $25, the Grand Prize or Fortune keys in a Jackpot promotion drawn on Sunday at 6pm. Fortune keys can also be collected by Multi players. All Grand and Fortune winners are given the opportunity to direct our community investments.
Why are the odds so good?
Givtu offers better odds because we limit the number of entries in each draw and prioritise community impact over profits. This creates a more rewarding experience for everyone involved.
When are the winners announced?
Countdown timers within the “Playing Now” section of your dashboard show when the draws are taking place. Once drawn the winners are notified via their dashboard and or via a phone call. Selected winners are also displayed on our home page under “Winners and Grinners”.
I win cash, so why do I have to pick a dream?
Telling us what you dream of spending the cash on makes our game more real and lets every player imagine both parts of the Grand prize, winning and helping. There is an additional reason and that we hope shall be revealed in the next development of our game.
Can I choose my own charity or dream?
Yes, you can choose as you wish as we are sure you will have many great ideas we have not listed. When buying an entry just select the “Your Dream” and/or “Your Charity” options and go from there. If you win we shall be in touch to work with your ideas and if all meets our guidelines, we’ll make it happen.
Do I have to share my winnings with a charity?
No, all your winnings are yours to keep. If you win a Grand or Fortune Prize you in addition are awarded the chance of directing us to make a matching donation or investment toward something that you believe will make a real difference.
How do I check if I have won?
Login and go to “Playing Now” on your dashboard. Each combination has a countdown and when done shall display “Check Tickets”. Click on this and follow the prompts.
How do I claim my winnings?
Login and click “Claims” on your dashboard. If you have anything to claim, follow the prompts and everything will be processed.
Why are there limits on play, and how much is that?
We know we have created a really fun game and for some it may be just too tempting so we have placed a $250 spend limit on each game in the hope we don’t add to any of the issues that are out there.
How do I follow the good happening from my game?
Your dashboard will be updated with videos tracking the impact of your games. Follow those updates and if you wish to see more follow our socials and enjoy what you are helping.
How do I stop playing?
You can stop playing anytime by turning off the “Auto Renew” button under each multi combination displayed in “Playing Now” and follow the prompts. If by chance there are any problems contact our support team for assistance.
What can I do if I am having issues playing Givtu?
